Beginner Guide

Attack on Titan Revolution Beginner Guide

Attack on Titan Revolution is built around ODM movement, Titan combat, mission grinding, family rolls, skill-tree progression, and raid rewards. Start with movement and missions first, then use codes, upgrades, Families, and Perks to move into harder content.

1

Start from the official Attack on Titan Revolution experience

Account setup and early rewards

Choose one character slot, customize your character, roll a starting Family, and learn where quests, inventory, equipment, market, regiment, battle pass, and ranking menus live.

Choose one character slot to progress first
Check daily, weekly, main, and side quests
Use codes early for Spins, Emperor Keys, and boost potions
2

Learn Attack on Titan Revolution ODM Gear control

Movement control

Practice Q and E hooks, hold Space while grappling to boost with gas, double-tap Space for impulse movement, and reload blades before long Titan fights.

Practice left and right hooks separately
Use gas boost while approaching Titan weak spots
Keep enough gas for the full kill route
3

Use Attack on Titan Revolution Titan weak spots

Titan combat basics

Practice clean approaches on Titans, aim toward the upper body or nape, keep enough speed for the slash, and reset your angle when a Titan turns or grabs.

Approach from the shoulder or head angle
Keep enough speed before slashing
Reposition before fighting large Titan groups
4

Run Attack on Titan Revolution Missions before Raids

Stable progression

Use lower Mission difficulties to build XP, Gold, gear progress, quest completions, and combat confidence before entering phase-based Raid content.

Start with easier mission difficulties
Clear quests while farming Gold and XP
Use map boosts such as Luck, EXP, or Gold
5

Upgrade Attack on Titan Revolution gear evenly

Gear scaling

Prioritize practical combat upgrades such as Damage, Speed, Control, Range, Gas, Durability, Crit Chance, and Crit Damage while keeping your overall gear grade moving upward.

Upgrade Damage early for cleaner Titan kills
Improve Speed and Control for reliable ODM routes
Keep Gas and Durability ready for longer missions
6

Spend Attack on Titan Revolution skill points around your build

Skills and build direction

Family skills are high priority, while ODM players can build toward strong offense tools and Support utility such as Target Acquisition for better nape targeting.

Unlock important Family skills first
Use Offense skills to speed up Titan clears
Use Support tools when accuracy and team utility matter
7

Understand Attack on Titan Revolution Families before rerolling

Family progression

Families affect stats, skills, Titan shifting, perk slots, raid damage, party bonuses, and build direction, so spend Spins with a clear target.

Save Spins for strong Families before major rerolls
Use high-value codes before rolling
Keep top Families instead of rerolling blindly
8

Move into Attack on Titan Revolution Raids and Update 4 content

Mid-game to endgame route

After your build is stable, push into harder raids, Waves mode, Winter Event farming, and Colossal Titan Raid preparation for cosmetics, serums, artifacts, and perks.

Enter raids after gear and skills are ready
Use healing and defensive options for waves of Titans
Prepare for Prestige-gated endgame content

Odm Damage

Titan Shifting

Attack on Titan Revolution Titan Shifting Guide

Learn how Serums unlock Titan Shift, where to farm them, and which Shifter fits your build. This guide focuses on Serum farming, Aberrant missions, raids, mastery, and Shifter roles.

Titan Shifting in Attack on Titan Revolution starts with obtaining a Serum, equipping it, and using the free shifting skill that unlocks with that Serum. Serums are Mythical items tied to raids, Aberrant missions, and trading, so raid farming and high-difficulty progression are central to every Shifter build.

1

Understand what a Serum does

A Serum is the key item that unlocks Titan Shifting. After equipping a Serum, the player gains access to the related shifting skill and can transform into that Titan type.

Attack on Titan Revolution Shifting Details

Serums are classified as Mythical items.
A Serum must be equipped before the shifting skill becomes available.
Serum capacity starts at 1 and increases by 1 for every Prestige level.
The Serum gamepass adds 5 extra Serum slots.

Best for

Players preparing to unlock Attack, Armored, Female, or Colossal Titan forms.

2

Farm raids for the main Serum path

Raids are the most direct Serum farming route because raid chests can drop Titan-specific Serums. Harder raid difficulties provide better Serum odds.

Attack on Titan Revolution Shifting Details

Hard raid chest: 0.03% Serum chance from the free chest and 0.06% from Emperor's Trove.
Severe raid chest: 0.09% Serum chance from the free chest and 0.18% from Emperor's Trove.
Aberrant raid chest: 0.20% Serum chance from the free chest and 0.40% from Emperor's Trove.
Emperor's Trove requires an Emperor Key and has doubled listed drop rates compared with the free chest.
Raid chest drops are affected by Luck.

Best for

Players farming Attack Serum, Armored Serum, Female Serum, Colossal Serum, artifacts, perks, and raid cosmetics.

3

Use Aberrant missions as an alternate Serum route

Aberrant missions can also drop Serums, making high-level mission farming valuable for players who are not only farming raids.

Attack on Titan Revolution Shifting Details

Only Aberrant missions can drop Serums.
Shiganshina, Trost, Outskirts, Loading Docks, and Stohess list a 0.06% total Serum chance, with 0.02% for each individual Serum type.
Giant Forest lists a 0.07% total Serum chance, with 0.0233% for each individual Serum type.
Utgard lists a 0.05% total Serum chance, with 0.0167% for each individual Serum type.
Mission Serum rates are affected by Luck.

Best for

Players combining leveling, gold farming, Prestige Scroll farming, and Serum farming.

4

Meet the Colossal Titan requirements

Colossal Titan Shifting is tied to the Colossal Serum and the Colossal Titan Raid. This path is built around late-game raid farming rather than early progression.

Attack on Titan Revolution Shifting Details

Colossal Serum drops from the Colossal Titan Raid.
The Colossal Titan Raid is Aberrant-only.
Players need Prestige 2 or higher to enter the Colossal Titan Raid.
Colossal Serum has a 0.20% chance from the free chest and a 0.40% chance from Emperor's Trove.
Colossal Serum does not work for Zoe, Ackerman, or Helos families.

Best for

Prestige 2+ players farming Update 4 Colossal Titan content.

Best for

Prestige 2+ players focused on Colossal raid progression and high-impact transformation play.

6

Level Shifter mastery before building deep resonance

Shifter skills improve through use, and Shifter mastery improves by taking damage while transformed. This makes repeated raid and high-difficulty play important after unlocking a Serum.

Attack on Titan Revolution Shifting Details

Most Shifter moves level up by being used.
Shifter Mastery levels by taking damage as a Shifter.
Boxing, Defense, and Fighting mastery level through punching.
Skills can normally reach level 10, and can reach level 13 when resonance is unlocked.

Best for

Players turning a first Serum unlock into a long-term Shifter build.

7

Use trading as a late-game shortcut

Serums can be traded, making trading useful for players with enough Prestige and gems. This is especially important for players targeting a specific Shifter instead of farming random drops.

Attack on Titan Revolution Shifting Details

Serums can be traded to players at Prestige 3 or higher.
Each Serum trade has a 5,000 gem tax.
Trading is useful when a player needs a specific Serum for a build path.

Best for

Prestige 3+ players with enough gems who want a targeted Serum path.

Raid Guide

Attack on Titan Revolution Armored Titan Raid Guide

Protect the rescue boats, break the Armored Titan shield, then finish the boss for raid chests and Armored Serum chances.

The Armored Titan Raid was added in Update 2.5 and centers on two goals: defend moving rescue boats from titans and weaken the Armored Titan before the final boss phase. The raid has Hard, Severe, and Aberrant difficulties, with higher difficulty increasing pressure and chest reward value.

Step 1

Know the raid objective

The Armored Titan Raid has two main phases: defend the rescue boats, then defeat the Armored Titan after his shield is gone.

Raid details

  • Hard requires defending 1 boat.
  • Severe requires defending 2 boats.
  • Aberrant requires defending 3 boats.
  • The raid fails if 1 boat dies on Hard, or if 2 boats die on Severe or Aberrant.

Player tip

Assign some players to clear titans around boats while the highest-damage players weaken the Armored Titan shield.

Step 2

Phase 1: Defend the rescue boats

During Phase 1, the Armored Titan activates Courage and gains a shield worth an additional 100% HP.

Raid details

  • Defend the boats from titan swarms and the Armored Titan.
  • Damage to any shielded limb contributes toward Phase 2 damage scaling.
  • Every 2.0% shield removed converts into +1.0% extra damage taken by the Armored Titan in Phase 2.
  • The Phase 1 health soft cap prevents the Armored Titan from going below 75% red health during this phase.

Player tip

The better your team damages the shield in Phase 1, the faster Phase 2 becomes.

Step 3

Phase 2: Defeat the Armored Titan

After the shield dissipates, the fight becomes a direct boss kill while pure titans continue spawning around players.

Raid details

  • Focus the boss when openings are safe.
  • Keep clearing nearby titans so players are not grabbed or body-blocked.
  • Watch for boss movement and attacks while rotating gas, blades, Thunder Spears, or Shifter cooldowns.

Player tip

Clear nearby pressure before tunneling the boss. Stable team uptime matters more than reckless burst damage.

Step 4

Open the correct chest

Players must have at least 5% credit to open raid chests.

Raid details

  • Raider Chest does not require an Emperor Key.
  • Emperor Trove requires an Emperor Key.
  • Emperor Trove has 2x the drop rates compared with Raider Chest.

Player tip

Save Emperor Keys for runs where you consistently earn enough credit and are farming high-value raid drops.

Step 5

Farm Armored Serum chances

Armored Serum is a Mythical Serum used for Armored Titan shifting and trading.

Raid details

  • Hard: 0.03% from Free Raid Chest, 0.06% from Emperor Trove.
  • Severe: 0.09% from Free Raid Chest, 0.18% from Emperor Trove.
  • Aberrant: 0.20% from Free Raid Chest, 0.40% from Emperor Trove.
  • Serums can also be traded to players at Prestige 3 or higher with a 5,000 gem tax.

Player tip

Aberrant plus Emperor Trove is the highest listed Armored Serum chest chance.

Step 6

Watch for the Jotunn Easter egg

The Armored Titan boss has a 10% chance to spawn with the Jotunn Armored skin.

Raid details

  • The Jotunn set can drop for ODM or TS depending on the gear used when receiving the drop.
  • Jotunn set rate during a Jotunn Raid: 0.3% on Hard, 0.9% on Severe, 3.0% on Aberrant.
  • Luck can influence regular raid drops and the Easter egg equipment drop rate.

Player tip

If you are targeting Jotunn gear, run the raid on the highest difficulty your team can clear consistently.

Step 7

Use raid-friendly families and builds

Raid pages recommend strong families or Titan Shifting for easier raid clears.

Raid details

  • Recommended options include Ackerman, Shiki, Helos, Fritz, or Titan Shifting.
  • ODM damage against raid bosses was buffed in Update 3, while TS damage against raid bosses was reduced in the same balance pass.
  • Armored raid boat speed and boat survivability have been adjusted through later patches.

Player tip

Pick a setup that helps your team keep boats alive first, because losing objectives ends the run before rewards matter.

Raid Guide

Attack on Titan Revolution Female Titan Raid Guide

Clear the tunnel QTE, fight Annie, defeat Eren Attack Titan, then finish Annie for Female Raid rewards and Serum chances.

The Female Titan Raid was released in Update 3 and focuses on Shifter boss fights instead of regular titan waves. Players first survive Annie tunnel sequence, then complete three combat phases against the Female Titan and Attack Titan.

Step 1

Understand the raid structure

The Female Titan Raid has a tunnel QTE section followed by three boss phases.

Raid details

  • Phase 1: Defeat Annie by taking 50% of the Female Titan health.
  • Phase 2: Defeat Eren, the Attack Titan.
  • Phase 3: Defeat Annie again, starting from 50% health.
  • The raid has no pure titans and focuses on Titan Shifters instead.

Player tip

Prepare for boss mechanics and single-target damage instead of normal wave-clearing pressure.

Step 2

Dodge Annie in the tunnel QTE

The raid opens with a quick-time event sequence against Annie in the tunnels.

Raid details

  • Each missed QTE removes 10% HP.
  • Each completed QTE increases awakening bar by 10%.
  • Each completed QTE also adds 1.5 Undying Hero stacks for Helos users.
  • Skipping the QTE costs 60% HP.
  • Timing becomes stricter on higher difficulties, while the inputs remain left and right.

Player tip

Complete the QTE whenever possible so your build keeps health and awakening momentum.

Step 3

Phase 1: Defeat Annie

In the first fight, Annie has body weaknesses and must be brought down by 50% HP.

Raid details

  • ODM users should hit the nape or critical points marked by skull icons.
  • Critical points make the Female Titan take 3x more damage than normal body hits.
  • If Shifters are in the party, injuring Annie arms or legs can reduce her ability to hit Shifters.

Player tip

Prioritize skull-marked weak points and safe nape access instead of random limb damage.

Step 4

Phase 2: Defeat Eren

Eren starts at 60% HP in the second phase and does not have weakness skull marks on his body.

Raid details

  • Patch 37 removed vulnerability from the Attack Titan in Phase 2.
  • Patch 37 increased Eren Phase 2 health from 50% to 60%.
  • Attack Titan Berserk Mode adds pressure by increasing damage and speed when triggered.

Player tip

Treat this as a sustained boss DPS check. Avoid wasting burst windows looking for weakness marks that do not exist in this phase.

Step 5

Phase 3: Finish Annie

Annie returns at 50% HP for the final phase and again has body weaknesses.

Raid details

  • Use the same critical-point logic from Phase 1.
  • Coordinate cooldowns so burst damage lands when weak points are accessible.
  • Finish the raid by ending the Female Titan phase.

Player tip

Save a stable damage rotation for the final Annie phase so the team does not run out of resources after Eren.

Step 6

Farm Female Serum and chest rewards

Female Serum is a Mythical Serum used for Female Titan shifting and trading.

Raid details

  • Players must have at least 5% credit to open raid chests.
  • Raider Chest is free to open.
  • Emperor Trove requires an Emperor Key and has 2x drop rates compared with Raider Chest.
  • Hard Female Serum chance: 0.03% from Free Raid Chest, 0.06% from Emperor Trove.
  • Severe Female Serum chance: 0.09% from Free Raid Chest, 0.18% from Emperor Trove.
  • Aberrant Female Serum chance: 0.20% from Free Raid Chest, 0.40% from Emperor Trove.

Player tip

Use Emperor Trove on clears where you reliably hit credit and are specifically farming Female Serum or high-value raid drops.

Step 7

Track Female Raid drops and Update 4 additions

Female Raid rewards include artifacts, cosmetics, auras, and the Female Serum, with Update 4 adding more Female Raid-related rewards.

Raid details

  • Female Raid drops include Ring, Hoodie, Scars, Young Annie Attire, Young Annie Rain Poncho, Blazing Veil, Blue Lightning, Fractured Surge, and Female Serum.
  • Update 4 added the Deus Ex Machina Female Raid Easter egg with a 10.0% chance to spawn in place of the Female Titan.
  • Deus Ex Machina set drop rates are 0.3% on Hard, 0.9% on Severe, and 3.0% on Aberrant.
  • Update 4 Female Raid artifacts include Crystal Necklace and Female Scars.

Player tip

For rare cosmetics and artifact farming, run the highest difficulty your team can complete consistently.

Update 4 Raid

Attack on Titan Revolution Colossal Titan Raid Guide

Stall Bertholdt with cannons, defend Eren, then defeat the Colossal Titan by attacking the nape.

The Colossal Titan Raid arrived with Update 4 and is built around an Aberrant-only raid flow. Players must protect Eren while using wall cannons to stall Bertholdt, then switch into a final nape-focused boss phase for Colossal rewards.

Step 1

Check the raid requirement

The Colossal Titan Raid is an Update 4 raid tied to Colossal Titan shifting and Colossal Serum farming.

Raid details

  • The raid requires Prestige 2 or higher.
  • The raid only has Aberrant difficulty.
  • Losing the raid causes streak loss.
  • Colossal Serum can be traded to players at Prestige 3 or higher with a 5,000 gem tax.

Player tip

Prepare before entering because this raid does not offer lower difficulty versions to warm up.

Step 2

Phase 1: Stall Bertholdt

In the first phase, the Colossal Titan slowly moves toward the wall while Eren is vulnerable on the other side to titan attacks.

Raid details

  • Eren staying alive is a win condition.
  • During Phase 1, the Colossal Titan can only be damaged by cannons.
  • Cannons are positioned on top of the wall.

Player tip

Split attention between cannon usage and protecting Eren. Ignoring either side can fail the raid.

Step 3

Use cannons correctly

Cannons are the required damage source for Phase 1, so cannon uptime matters more than normal boss DPS during this section.

Raid details

  • Players should rotate cannon positions to keep pressure on the Colossal Titan.
  • Non-cannon attacks should be treated as support actions during Phase 1.
  • Teammates not using cannons should help control titans threatening Eren.

Player tip

A clean Phase 1 usually comes from role discipline: cannon players focus Bertholdt, defenders keep Eren safe.

Step 4

Phase 2: Defeat Bertholdt

After the stall phase, the raid shifts into a direct Colossal Titan boss phase.

Raid details

  • The Colossal Titan only takes damage from the nape in Phase 2.
  • Players should position for safe nape access and avoid wasting damage on other body parts.
  • Burst windows should be saved for moments when the nape is reachable.

Player tip

Phase 2 is a precision-damage phase. Treat nape uptime as the main damage objective.

Step 5

Farm Colossal Serum

Colossal Serum is a Mythical Serum used for Colossal Titan shifting and trading.

Raid details

  • Colossal Serum drops from the Colossal Titan Raid.
  • Colossal Titan Raid is listed as Aberrant-only for Serum obtainment.
  • Aberrant Free Raid Chest chance: 0.20%.
  • Aberrant Emperor Trove chance: 0.40%.

Player tip

Use Emperor Trove when farming Colossal Serum because it has the higher listed chest chance.

Step 6

Track Colossal Raid artifacts

Update 4 added several Colossal Titan Raid artifacts with clear stat bonuses.

Raid details

  • Sleeping Mask: Epic face artifact with +2.5 Health Regen.
  • Sweater: Legendary back artifact with +10.0% TS Range and +10.0% TS Control.
  • Scorched Cloak: Mythic back artifact with +5.0% Burn DMG on all attacks, all Burn DMG multiplied by 1.1x, and +5.0 Health Regen.
  • Colossal Scars: Mythic face artifact with +15.0% Colossal Titan Stats, +1 Shifts, -20.0% Awakening Bar Drain for Colossal Titan, and Atomic Ascension range increased by 150m.

Player tip

Colossal Scars is the most directly Colossal-focused artifact listed because it boosts Colossal Titan stats and shifting uptime.

Step 7

Track Colossal cosmetics and materials

The Colossal Titan Raid also adds cosmetics, a shard, and the Colossal Serum to the reward pool.

Raid details

  • Cosmetics include Mushroom Cloud, Superheated, Aspiring Warrior Attire, and Atomic Bomb.
  • Colossal Shard is listed as a Legendary shard reward.
  • Colossal Serum is listed as a Mythic Serum reward.

Player tip

Cosmetic and shard value can change with market demand, so check current trading values before selling or swapping rare drops.

Step 8

Use Update 4 Colossal Titan knowledge

Update 4 also introduced Colossal Titan shifting skills and resonance, which helps players understand why Colossal-related drops are high-interest rewards.

Raid details

  • Colossal Titan skills include Footstep, Swipe, Eject, Shifter Mastery, Destruction Mastery, Atomic Ascension, Anguish, Seismic Shock, Tectonic Quake, Incendiary Volley, and Heatwave.
  • Colossal Titan resonance includes Evolving Havoc, Unmatched Devastation, Explosive Liberation, Infinite Chaos, Thermal Absolution, and Hakai No Kami.

Player tip

Players farming the raid for Colossal Serum should also track Colossal Scars and Colossal Shard because they support long-term Colossal Titan progression.
